چکیده
Driven by the development of oil and gas sector, Qatar has made remarkable economic achievements over past few decades. However, Qatar’s high dependence on fossil fuels resulted in a rapid increase its CO 2 emissions. As such, country may be facing trade-off between achieving continued growth carbon emissions reductions. This study empirically analyzes relationship Qatar, using annual data income from 1970 to 2018. The analysis was conducted employing Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) framework Decoupling Index (DI) approach. EKC evaluated Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares cointegration method. Additionally, robustness check Canonical Cointegrating Regression (CCR) method confirm results attained FMOLS. findings support evidence an N-shaped suggest that is currently undergoing expanding relative decoupling. Although show per capita have been declining last years, additional measures such as energy conservation, efficiency renewable are required allow cost-effective emission

متن کاملWill Economic Restructuring in China Reduce Trade-Embodied CO2 Emissions?
We calculate CO2 emissions embodied in China’s net exports using a multi-regional input-output database. We find that the majority of China’s export-embodied CO2 is associated with production of machinery and equipment rather than energy-intensive products, such as steel and aluminum. In 2007, the largest net recipients of embodied CO2 emissions from China include the EU (360 million metric ton...
